Meet Boudicca!

Meet the most misunderstood girl. The one we called “spicy” and put a bite risk sign for. Only to become the most perfect angel who was just beyond petrified and is now ready to accept love.

Queen Boudicca came to the rescue alongside 18 other cats who we affectionately called The Queens. They were rescued from a backyard breeder that had more than 100 cats caged for life for the purpose of breeding. These cats never saw the light of day, breathed fresh air, or knew anything other than being used for profit. These breeding females (and a few castrated males) were brought into our care and quarantined together until they were able to be placed in loving foster homes. Each cat has its own unique trauma that they have worked through in order to be ready for adoption. These Queens deserve the world they should have always had and we will ensure they have a spoiled life from here forward.

Queen Boudicca was the most “feral” of the bunch upon intake - biting her fair share of volunteers trying to help her. Then within 24 hours of coming into our care she gave birth to a single, small kitten. Unfortunately this kitten didn’t survive past 12 hours and it surely has to do with the lack of care received during pregnancy. As soon as her baby was taken and buried, Boudie switched and became friendly. It’s as though she was just in protector mode over her kit.

Boudicca then went into her foster home after her quarantine period and has truly blossomed into an amazing house cat. Though still timid at times with new situations, she is so kindhearted and activity pushes herself outside of her comfort zone to be with people.

Boudie currently lives in a home with many cats of all ages and backgrounds and does amazing. She also lives with a large dog that she does well with, so a puppy friend could be good for her too. She would do best with children over 12 years that can respect her boundaries.

Once Boudie trusts you, you can be sure to have a little shadow. She often follows her foster mama around the house as she does chores and cares for the other cats. She’s also becoming brave enough to be picked up and cuddled, and has even curled up on her foster mama's lap a few times - something she certainly never got the privilege of doing previously.
