Meet Guinevere!

Queen Guinevere came to the rescue alongside 18 other cats who we affectionately called The Queens. They were rescued from a backyard breeder that had more than 100 cats caged for life for the purpose of breeding. These cats never saw the light of day, breathed fresh air, or knew anything other than being used for profit. These breeding females (and a few castrated males) were brought into our care and quarantined together until they were able to be placed in loving foster homes. Each cat has its own unique trauma that they have worked through in order to be ready for adoption. These Queens deserve the world they should have always had and we will ensure they have a spoiled life from here forward.

From Guinevere's foster:

Queenie as I call her, has really come out of her shell since first coming into my home as a foster, she is full of songs, love, and playfulness!

Guinevere started her time with me recovering from a couple small seizures she was having during intake, that quickly resolved with some seizure medication that she easily takes twice a day, either with her kibble, or a churu.

Queenie isn’t a fan of being picked up or cuddled as much, but she loves to rub up against your legs, and will accept many many pets, she’s also started cuddling with one of my resident cats, and sneaks onto the couch at my feet to sit with me some evenings.

I believe Queenie would do best in a home with other animals, she is quite social, and loves both my resident cats and dog, so I think she would get along easy with others. I don’t believe Queenie would do well in a home with small children due to her still being skittish and having issues with being held/picked up.

She is a ball of joy and I love hearing her sing her music when she starts to get frisky and playful, even playing with my dogs toys most of the time, she seems to be a big fan of stuffies, tennis balls, and crocheted toys!
