Thank you for your interest in fostering a cat or kitten for Arthur Animal Rescue. We are always looking for people to foster cats and kittens in need! We are 100% volunteer-run and have no “home-base” shelter. Our foster families are paramount for saving cats in our communities.

As a first step, please fill out our foster application and submit it to us!
Please understand our first priority is to the kitties. Filling out a foster application does not guarantee that you will foster for AAR.

Additional Notes for Foster families:
-
Transportation: must be able to drive to Guelph for routine and emergency veterinary visits.
-
Space: a separate room to keep the cat or kitten for the first 14 days. Or a quieter area where a three tiered cage can be placed (which can be provided) for our more nervous cats until they feel comfortable coming out to socialize.
-
Socialization and Love: this includes playing, snuggling, cat scratcher training, pet carrier training and socialization with people and other animals when possible. This prepares our cats for life after fostering and sets them up for successful placement with their new forever families.

We require that any other pets in the home be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
